One of the world’s leading phosphate-based fertilizer producers has implemented a system that allows for over 20 types of HR documents to be automatically ordered by and issued to more than 10,000 employees. The underlying hardware-and-software suite includes 37 kiosks, an information portal, personal account pages, and SMS service.
Any employee without an account (technologist, miner, etc.) may tag his/her pass card to a kiosk card reader to obtain a salary slip, print an application form, order a certificate, a copy of or extract from an employment record book, and view information relating to remaining vacation days or pension insurance records. Office personnel may log into their personal account pages on the portal from their desktops. Former employees may access portal and kiosk functions that require neither authorization, nor the requesting of personal information and, for instance, can easily order certificates without the need to email or call the company.
