Project objective: Develop and implement a Centralized Automatic Accident-Prevention System to ensure failure-free oil transportation via end-to-end automatic protection of the oil pipeline under control.

During the project, CROC designed and deployed the Centralized Automatic Accident-Prevention System via a new implementation approach, with the system core being powered by software enabling oil pipeline protection algorithms instead of programmable logic controllers.

Benefits:

  • End-to-end automatic pipeline protection against rise in oil pressure beyond permissible levels in pipeline section, oil flow blocking via shut-off valves, pipeline oil leaks, loss of connectivity with oil transfer pumping station systems, oil pipeline operation in prohibited mode, etc.
  • Less dependence on human decision-making in case of pre-emergency or emergency on site, thus ensuring safer operation

The advanced development technologies involved in the project ensured the technical excellence of the implemented system, while the use of standard server equipment facilitated suite maintenance.

In addition, the system for automatic testing against preset scenarios enabled comprehensive debugging of the Centralized Automatic Accident-Prevention System via CROCs booth, thus allowing for implementation within a tight timeframe and without technological errors.
